Chhota Udepur Minor Girl Killed: What a shocking and disturbing incident which could only leave people astonished! A 5-year-old girl was murdered in Chhota Udepur, Gujarat, under the guise of Tantrik sacrifice. Such a horrendous crime has shaken the local community while raising even more serious issues about law and order and the safety of children in the state. Here is a tragedy that casts its shadow over an otherwise upbeat and progressive Gujarat.
What exactly happened in Chhota Udaipur Hatyakand?
It is in Panaj village situated in Bodeli taluk of Chhota Udepur. A person, namely Lalu Tadvi, claimed to be Bhuva (local occult practitioner) has been reported to commit murder most horrifically. He intoxicated a five-year-old girl from the village and took her to a temple built inside his hut, under the pretext of some Tantrik ritual. There he hanged the girl by nails and slit her throat with an axe, saying it was a Tantric sacrifice.
But that was not all. Reports indicate Tadvi was also preparing to offer his second child from the locality as a sacrifice. Thanks to the vigilant villagers, the second child was saved in time, and the police were notified. Immediately, Tadvi was arrested, and a murder case registered against him.
Fear and Anger Grip the Village
State of fear and anger has therefore gripped the villagers. Panic has gripped parents regarding the safety of their children, and the community is out for justice for the innocent girl who sadly met her end too soon. The body has been taken to post-mortem by the police while further investigations are ongoing to give a fuller picture of this dastardly crime.
Police are investigating
Gujarat, once hailed to be a model state of development and progress, is now up against tough questions. How is it that such a barbaric incident could happen even in the twenty-first century? Where is the law and order supposed to take care of its most helpless of these? This incident has starkly revealed the harsh reality standing in contradiction to the modern gist of the state in making things shine.
In an age that talks about artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and global advancement, it is shocking and shameful that such barbaric and primitive acts are still being carried out. It forces us to assess not only the locations of gaps in society but also how desperately we need better governance and awareness in communities.
