PM Modi Gujarat Visit: On Women’s Day, PM Modi will give a big gift in Navsari

The Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, is beginning a landmark visit to Navsari, Gujarat, in programs for the occasion of International Women’s Day, where women will be honored and empowered in many ways. The visit is highly significant in terms of the celebration of women’s empowerment and economic independence, as PM Modi will address the Lakhpati Didis (women entrepreneurs) and launch schemes that will change the lives of rural women.

PM Modi will honor 1 lakh Lakhpati sisters

  • Lakhpati Didi Sammelan: PM Modi will meet 1 lakh women in the Navsari, Valsad, and Dang districts, celebrating their achievements in self-reliant entrepreneurship.
  • Empowerment Initiatives: The PM will launch the G-Safal Yojana as a revolutionary scheme to impart economic self-reliance to women from Antyodaya families. The scheme will give support for women from self-help groups undergoing training in entrepreneurship in Gujarat’s aspirational districts and blocks.
  • Programs: The G-Maitri Yojana is another event of interest, under which financial assistance will be provided for start-ups dedicated to the enhancement of rural livelihood.
  • Women-Led Security: To mark the day in a historic way, security arrangements during PM Modi’s event will be carried out entirely by a women police force, thus providing a show of the strength of the women, representing women in all the fields.

International Women’s Day of Happiness and Inspiration

PM Modi presents certificates to five Lakhpati Didis in recognition of and respect for their journeys toward financial independence. A short film on the development of Gujarat under these schemes will also be screened to show the transformation initiated by the schemes.

Will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of projects worth Rs 2,587 crore

During this visit, PM Modi will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of such projects for a total cost of ₹2,587 crore, including the world-class 450-bed Namo Hospital in Silvassa. These projects are purportedly set to improve healthcare, infrastructure, and development across the region.
