Kolkata: The eastern city was the worst hit, with petrol rising ₹1.07 a liter to ₹105.01, while diesel went up ₹1.06 a liter to ₹89.76.

Mumbai: In a pleasant surprise, the economic capital has witnessed a reversal of the trend in fuel price increases. Prices of petrol dipped by 44 paise a liter to ₹103.50, while a whopping ₹2.12 decrease was witnessed in the case of diesel, which now costs ₹90.03.

The slight upward trend in fuel rates was not just confined to the metros; some other cities are also witnessing a flare in prices.

Bengaluru, Chandigarh, and Gurugram: Fuel prices increased by 6 and 5 paise per liter, respectively. In Bengaluru, petrol now costs ₹102.92 per liter and diesel ₹88.99 per liter. Chandigarh has seen petrol at ₹94.30 per liter and diesel at ₹82.45 per liter, while Gurugram sees petrol at ₹95.25 per liter and diesel at ₹88.10 per liter.

Lucknow and Noida: Fuel prices saw a rise of 4 to 5 paise in both cities. Petrol in Lucknow is now priced at ₹94.69 per liter and diesel at ₹87.81 per liter. Noida has the price of petrol at ₹94.87 per liter and that of diesel at ₹88.01 per liter.
